Hello to all!

 

I have started to play a couple of online games! TRAVIAN is a lot of fun... you choose between being a Roman, a Gaul or a crazy Teuton.  I've chosen to be a Gaul.  I am in the process of building my little village!

 

Another is MY MINI-CITY.  Every day when I visit, the population grows.  YOU CAN HELP!

Work is not good.... next quarter, we have to take 5 days off WITHOUT PAY.  I have been trying to find a part-time job for some extra money.... NOT EASY!

Coin collecting is at a standstill for now!  Can't afford coins!

 

Also, I saty at home a lot.  Last week was a painful one... literally... my left arm was VERY painful, and I couldn't move it.  A bad reaction to some medications my doctor prescribed.  Now the meds have changed, I am starting to feel myself again.

HELLO!

 

Well, the Noro-virus has struck.  Most of my office has had it in varying degrees of intensity, mine I think in middle-of-the-road.  I was REALLY sick Thursday, a little less today (Friday).  I hope it is gone by Monday at the latest!

 

Coin collecting is going well.  I now have over 600 coin reference books in my library.  I really don't have much money to spend on coins; I am finally cleaning up all the medical bills.  I had to stop Cardiac Rehab... I am in a new year, so deductible on Blue Cross is $500 -- it would cost me $55 a day to continue rehab.

So, the nurses moved my up to the next level.  For $35 a month, I can use all the facilities.  Only difference:  I don't wear a heart monitor.  In March, I will go back. I need the exercise.

 

At least with the Norovirus, I have lost weight... quickly. I only eat little bits now.... I want to continue that trend.

It is very nice!  Many members from India - so I hope I can get some help with my Indian coins there.

HELLO and Happy Holidays to EVERYONE!

 

We have NOT had snow the last few days like everyone else in the Northeast USA -- we have had RAIN.... and LOTS of it.  Lots of local flooding!

My favorite Chinese Restaurant thankfully had only VERY MINOR flooding, and was open today. 

 

Boss woman bought us Pizza and Wing-Dings Thursday.... i SHOULD NOT eat that stuff, but I had some.... my first time being a bad boy since my heart attack.  I only had a little bit.... Delicious.  I was going to forego Chinese food today... but it's the holiday season.... soon I will probably NOT be able to drive to the restaurant because of snow! 

 

I sent many packages to friends with some nice coins.... Many have been delivered.  I feel like SANTA!

 

One friend sent me WONDERFUL banknotes from Mozambique.  I like them VERY much.  I have ordered some medieval Armenian coins.... uncleaned.  THey SHOULD clean up nicely, and I SHOULD be able to identify them.  I also (for fun) ordered 3 ancient uncleaned GREEK coins.  I will probably get screwed on those.... I hope not.

 

I miss my family in Taiwan very much.... especially during the holiday season!  My office really didn't have a Christmas party.... but this Monday we will have a "pig-out" day.  MOST of the stuff being brought I cannot eat.  I will participate.... and I will REALLY TRY to be good about my eating.   It's easy, until it is staring you in the face....

I hope I can be strong!!!!!

 

I will be having my annual CHINESE NEW YEAR'S PARTY this year.  I hope my camera is working, I will post pictures.  I love to do this.

Hello to all!

 

Tonight I am sore and tired.... the nurses at Cardiac Rehab are getting tougher on me.  Wow!  I am sore.  But it is good for me (I guess).

Today was first day of Deer Season.... sort of a National Holiday in Pennsylvania.  No school..... many businesses closed.  I have not hunted for years!

 

Coin collecting is going well!  I am now working on ancient Chinese WU ZHU coins of the Eastern Han and related dynasties.... 25 AD to 500 AD or so.  I have 40 more to go!  NOT easy... I scored a good article in French on the subject, but with NO illustrations.  I friend, Joszef, in Budapest, got the illustrations for me!  WOW!  I am so happy.

 

And my friend currently living in Norway, has shared wonderful coin books with me!  I try to return the favor when I can!
